Dr Valentina Dedi is an economist with more than 15 years of experience advising governments, energy companies, development banks, and international organisations on economic development, investment, and energy transition. She specialises in economic strategy, sector development, and long-term growth planning.

As Managing Consultant and Head of Economics, Valentina leads a team delivering economic masterplans, policy studies, and investment strategies that support sustainable growth and economic transformation. Her work spans a wide range of sectors, including energy, infrastructure, industry, and climate-related initiatives.

Before expanding her focus to broader economic development, Valentina built her career in the global energy sector, working across oil and gas, refining, petrochemicals, LNG, renewables, hydrogen, carbon markets, and the circular economy. She led market, policy, economic, and financial analysis, as well as business plan development, supporting strategic studies, masterplans, and feasibility assessments.

Alongside her professional work, Valentina serves as Vice President of Access for Women in Energy, a non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing women in the energy industry. She is also an active member of Kosovo Women in Energy & Mining and UK Albanian Professionals.

In addition to her consulting work, Valentina has designed and delivered training programmes for government officials and industry professionals, and has taught at leading academic institutions, including the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the University of Surrey, Bayes Business School (City, University of London), and the University of Ioannina.

Prior to joining KBR, Valentina worked as an Economist at Crystol Energy, where she supported advisory, research, and training projects across the global energy industry. Earlier in her career, she was part of the economics team at KBC Process Technology, focusing on global oil markets, including demand, supply, pricing, and refining economics.

Valentina holds a PhD in Economics and an MSc in Energy Economics and Policy from the University of Surrey, United Kingdom.
